Hello, I’m Josh! I’ve had such an amazing journey to this point and the best part of it is certainly the people I have met and continue to meet along the way. I opened Hope Heal Change Counseling in 2019 with the help and guidance of so many amazing people in my life. I built the practice from scratch and have committed to remaining true to who I am throughout. At its core, the practice was built from genuinely caring about people and doing the right thing by my clients. As time has passed, I feel like I have honed my craft quite well and I believe that I offer something unique and special to my clientele.
My thoughts on therapy in a nutshell. Here’s a test: Try to give yourself a genuine compliment right now. Say something nice about yourself. Did you believe it? Was it hard? Did it feel awkward? How about self-criticism? Do you tend to criticize yourself far more than offer yourself lovingness? Did you know that in healthy marriages, we have found that for every 1 criticism, there are 5 positive comments? Why shouldn’t that be the same with ourselves? Enough questions.
I believe that if we can learn to treat ourselves better, our lives become immensely better. I also believe that the path to having a great relationship with yourself is to really know and understand who you are and how you got here. It’s hard to love things that we don’t understand. How’s your relationship with you? All in all, I’m here to treat roots, not so much symptoms. Certainly I’ll give you tools and strategies for working through day-to-day challenges like panic attacks; but, I’m really after what led to the symptom and I think that if that can be addressed, symptoms fade. Someone who punches a hole through the wall doesn’t necessarily have an anger problem–they have a hurting problem. You don’t have to hate yourself anymore.
A smidge about me: I earned my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University. While studying, I earned a scholarship which afforded me the opportunity to work as a career counselor where I learned how to help people with their career journey–anything from resume building to starting from square one. Along with providing therapy, I teach at Oakland University and serve as a member of the Detroit Lions wellness team. Before being in the Therapy world, I was a middle school teacher and also coached middle and high school sports. Outside of my work and education, I am an animal lover, sports fan, avid movie watcher and… as my clients will inevitably come to know… a total golf enthusiast.
Tara Yombor MA LPC LMHC

Therapist Specialties: Substance Use, Addiction, Family Counseling, Trauma, Depression, Anxiety
Populations: 16 years old and up
Hi there, I’m Tara! You can also call me a chaos coordinator, a mother, wounded heart healer, or an emotional guide.
As a mental health therapist, and as a previous client in my own personal therapy, I understand how challenging and emotional it can be to seek therapy. I want to make this as simple and stress-free as possible by explaining a bit about me and what to expect during therapy.
I grew up in Michigan, receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Michigan State University (Go Green)! In 2011, I moved to south Florida, and completed my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. After 11 years in the sunshine state, and having two beautiful children (you can also call me a professional “boo boo kisser”), I moved back “home” to Michigan. I currently hold professional licenses in both Michigan (LPC) and Florida (LMHC).
I began my career in Boulder, CO working at a substance abuse facility for pregnant women. While living in Florida, I spent a year working in a psychiatric hospital. During and after graduation, I worked in various substance abuse treatment centers as a mental health therapist. I eventually was promoted as Clinical Director prior to going into private practice. I have been in the substance abuse field for over 12 years facilitating individual, relationship/family, and group therapy sessions. My passion includes helping people live with intention and find peace within themselves and their relationships. I work with those struggling with substance abuse, addictive behaviors/OCD, co-depenency/boundary setting, depression, anxiety, self esteem/eating disorders, relationships (both interpersonal and family), anger/resentment, and major life events.
My primary focus is to create a judgement-free zone where you feel safe to be emotionally open and honest. Our first session will be aimed at getting to know one another. I will assist you in finding out what you hope to gain from your time in therapy as well as ask you some questions about your history and interpersonal relationships. My therapy style is very organic and person-centered. Topics of individual sessions are up to you based on where you are at in your personal journey. I understand that no two people are the same and that not one single approach will work for everyone. My goal is to carefully listen to my clients’ needs and tailor my approach to suit you.
I want you to know that regardless of the personal circumstances standing in the way of your happiness, hope still exists.
Kim Holsbeke MA LPC SCL

Therapist Specialties: Anxiety and Stress Management, Child and Adolescent Therapy, Play Therapy, Parenting and Support Family Dynamics, Emotional Regulation and Coping Skills, Mindfulness Therapy and Self-Compassion Practices, School/Social/Academic Challenges, College Preparation and Application Support, Trauma and Adjustment Difficulties and Depression/Low Mood

Hi, I’m Kim!
I’m a compassionate counselor with a genuine passion for supporting kids, teens, college students, and adults in navigating life’s challenges. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and feel truly heard and understood.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Michigan State University and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Oakland University. I spent five years as a high school counselor before transitioning into private practice, where I’ve been able to focus on supporting mental health more directly and personally.
I have training in several therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), ADHD Supportive Psychotherapy, and Play Therapy, which allows me to meet clients, especially children and adolescents, where they are and engage them in ways that feel natural and meaningful.
Over the years, I’ve worked with clients on a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. My approach is empathetic and collaborative; I work to build strong rapport and trust, because that connection is the foundation for growth and healing. I also incorporate holistic strategies, like mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and stress management, to help clients develop healthier coping skills, enhance self-awareness, and build resilience.
Ultimately, my goal is to help each client feel empowered to navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence, self-compassion, and clarity.
Rami Abiadal MA LLPC

Therapist Specialities: EMDR (trauma focused), Anxiety, Depression, Cultural Conflict, Couples Counseling, Grief and Loss
At the core of my practice is a genuine desire to help people. I am deeply committed to supporting clients in their journey toward healing, providing a safe, welcoming environment where they can explore their emotions, challenges, and personal growth. Whether navigating trauma, societal expectation, or the intricacies of personal identity, I am to help clients empower themselves to understand their own stories and take ownership of their healing.
I bring a unique blend of personal and professional experiences that shape my approach to mental health care. Having lived in several different countries and immersed myself in diverse cultures, I’ve developed a profound appreciation for how varied life experiences influence one’s mental health. This cross-cultural exposure allows me to offer a compassionate, non-
judgmental space where clients feel understood, regardless of their background.
With a foundational career in both military and first responder services, I understand the complexities of trauma, the weight of high stress environments, and the mental and emotional toll these experiences can take. My background in these fields has made me acutely aware of how unaddressed trauma can manifest in everyday life, affecting not only the individual but
their relationships and ability to cope with daily stressors.
I believe that each person’s upbringing and the societal constructs they navigate play a significant role in shaping their mental well-being. My therapeutic approach is rooted in this understanding, recognizing that trauma is not just about past events but the systems and experiences that continue to shape the person in the present. I prioritize helping my clients uncover and address these influences so they can develop healthier coping strategies, create a positive self-identity, and work towards a sense of inner peace.
